It all starts with a free consultation and a move estimate, online or over the phone, based on the details of your move: moving dates, origin and destination addresses, the size of the load, the number of floors and steps involved, and whether you require interim stops. We’ll also figure in any additional services you may need such as short- or long-term storage, partial or full packing, packing materials delivery, or even hoisting for moving items from tricky locations.
When it’s time, our team of residential moving specialists will arrive at your home with everything they need to begin the move. All our moving specialists have been trained to disassemble and reassemble furniture and other bulky items, and to carefully wrap, pack, and label everything from fine china to electronics to appliances. We pad and secure everything inside the trucks to avoid any loss or damage, and typically fill the trucks beginning with boxes and containers, followed by furniture, appliances, and other items. This allows us the extra space we need in your home to prepare your furniture and other bulky items for transport. It also ensures that when we reach your destination we can unload the large items and appliances and set them up per your instructions. Once these are in place, we unload your boxes and containers and place them in the proper rooms, according to their labels, for you to unpack at your leisure.
Our large storage warehouse for long- or short-term storage features 24/7 security. We can also safeguard your belongings overnight on the truck for those times when your new destination is not yet accessible. Our relocation consultants are happy to assist you with arranging all of your storage needs.
The relocation specialists at Boston Flat Rate Movers work seven days a week as well as most holidays for no extra cost. Since most leases and closings take place between the 25th of one month and the 3rd of the following month, those are our highest-volume days, so be sure to call at least a week in advance if you need to schedule a move at the end of the month.
